Default Msd mounting issue...

Hey what's up guys, I'm trying to mount my msd 6010 on the edelbrock rpm intake but when I use the rubber mounts it hits on my Holley 750 dual inlet carb's fuel bowl. I'm thinking a 1 inch open spacer will cure this. Anyone else have this issue? I don't wanna order to short of a spacer, but really don't want a monster 2 inch tunnel ram looking setup either.

ZoneRS what did you do to get that box mounted?

Thanks

Oh yea and how did you run your pcv, bc I'm not sure if I should get a spacer with or without the pcv provision? I know the carb itself has a pcv nipple on it. It's a 3310 750 Holley vacuum secondary.

Mount the box to the firewall inside the cab or under the dash. It must be fine to mount to the intake but with all that heat it cant be good

I mounted one with it resting to the carb, not the best option but alas it is where the intake provides the mounting position.

Your carb didn't hit when you used the rubber mounts? Did you use a spacer zone?

Yep, it hit, just did not bolt it down with that side, just the other side.

I have mine bolted down to the inner fender, just remember to plug off the mounting hole closest to the carb!

Yep I found out the hard way. Switched from from Vic jr to perf rpm. Had tip in stumble wouldn't idle right. Put my finger on the hole and boom, everything smoothed out. Got my idle mixture set with my vac gauge, idle set right. Man it runs great now.

Question. How do u know if u need to go bigger on jetting? It pulls really strong all the way to 6700

Running 670 avenger vac sec. On a z06 headed 5.3 with 595/597 218/222 eps cam
