Something in the 210-220intake/ 216-224exhaust would be good for a street driver, if it were me I would stay on the lower end of that spectrum if you are planning on running stock 4.8 heads...also if carbed (which I assume lol) you want like a 110-11lsa, with those durations and lsa you probably looking around .550-.570" of lift, again not tying to over cam the motor due to the stock heads...but you can def make some power with a small cube 4.8 that's for sure, the stock cam does t due it any favors due to the lower peak hp/tq rpm...

Since your new at LS engines and looking for a cam, you'll need to make sure the cam will work with your engine. A gen III cam will work in a GENIV motor, but a GENIV only cam will not work in a GEN III motor. I learned this the hard way.

A gen III cam has a reluctor wheel at the back of the cam and the cam sensor is in the rear of the motor.

A genIV only cam will not have the reluctor wheel at the back of the cam.

More converter would be great, but the edelbrock 2215 cam would work great I think.

Hey zone did you notice a difference in throttle response when using the lower lsa cam? That is assuming the carb is tuned up correct on both cams (stock 114-119, lower 109-112)

Oh yes, the tighter LSA was way more aggressive down low, the 114 was not nearly as rapid when you stabbed the throttle.
