I wouldn't change the gears till you get her all sorted out. Put a set of 275/60/15 radials on it. Should go 1.5x 60' 6.9xx -6.8xx

Has 26x11.5x17s on it now. I know a drag pack would help though with some light 15s.

For sure!

Just took it for a test drive and ran it to operating temps. Then ran it through 1st and second 5 times. Oil pressure went from 36 at operating to 28. So its better than last Friday. Hot lapping had it just above 20. So some thicker oil will do.

Checked the plugs, they are lean. Funny since the car was running 11.5:1 when it was in the camaro with the same carb. But, between having a 5/16 return and now it has 3/8 feed and return, also from the regulator sitting, fuel pressure was 4 PSI. Im sure there is some MPH and ET missing from that alone. We will see next Sunday if weather is good. Unfortunately i will be cutting weight, adding the carb spacer and hopefully getting the jetting dialed in, so i will not have a back to back comparison on the running lean.

But, good news to know it was lean. Bumped it to 7 PSI already. That means power on the table.

Just dying to know how much power I was holding back.

Trans am is done. Will dial in the carb, but she should be done with track time. It's a fun car for a girls ride though. I know there are plenty wanting me to push it further.

Front impact bar is already gone. Still can remove the rear and door bars, ect. Want to weigh the car today, but I don't think I'll have time.

Thats some race car stuff right there. I dont have money for that. I will make a support for the rear, but the front is fine.

Lol, actually the front one was on the new front clip I bought. The lower radiator support I went ahead and did because the old one was just a piece of angle iron. Honestly , any of them could be easily made. I just don't have a tubing bender.

That's allot to ask from a 5.3 liter, in a gutted mustang it's not, but anything heavy.

Sounds good to me man! I'm good with that! Hope you can finish up. I have a rear sway bar to pick up from a friend, a wiper cowl as well. Then I need to remove some weight and get to the track. The wide band cable that the dog ate has been replaced as of today as well. Going to install my 2 inch spacer and chop up my hood so it will have a scoop made from a spare hood.

Took her to the scales and she is roughly 400 pounds lighter than the 89 RS was. This is with me in the driver seat, i am 320 pounds. This is with the 10 gallon cell full as well.

The RS was 3450 with me in the seat.

Makes me know there is a ton left with the fuel at 4 PSI. Hard to believe i only trap 1 MPH better than my 89 did with 400 less pounds.
