It is the awkward location of the mounting location. So far back that it would allow the x member to flex. I am using the sub frames to prevent side to side movement. There is 1 more brace that is not pictured yet, and I am adding 2 more so the weight of the Trans and the tq arm are supported.

Got he extra bracing done on the TA. Coated it with some rustoleum gloss black. Built the TPS sensor mount, got the cooling system filled and sealed. Ect ect. Threw the 750 carb on off the 6.0 and she fired right up. Need to do some tuning and get the other 750 rebuilt and installed. Needs exhaust work and i should be driving her again.

Excuse the sloppy left handed vid. Just figured i would give a idle clip for those wondering what the edelbrock 2216 cam sounded like.

Thanks guys, we have been needing some ideas of how the edelbrock lineup sounds/performs. Cannot say I'm surprised, the car thumped pretty good with a 225/229 on a 114 lsa, knew this would hit harder.

Yep. Really curious how the controller will work with that big of a converter. That's gonna be the deciding factor for me to go with the ez tcu unit or full manual valve body.

I can set it to not lock up and it will be fantastic. But, if I set the lock up just right, as in high enough, it should be great.

That eddy cam sounds good. Awaiting your thoughts on it's performance on the road.

Cleaned up the 6.0 carb so the floats weren't stuck. Took her for a little ride. I am pleased for not even having a good tune yet. Still has the 6.0 tune and i set the TCU to shift at 6400 to be safe. She wants more but the 198K mile 4L80 shifter flawlessly!

I am thoroughly impressed with the cam this far. The trans controller is still impressing me as well. The other is on a stock 4.8, so there was no testing its limits, but on this thing it is doing just as well as the one on the 4.8 and im sure im making over 100 more HP.

Just did this after some heating issues before i have to go to work tonight. The heater hose was leaking for some reason, dont need it anyway in this weather.

So far she sounds close to dialed in. I need to get my wide band wire that runs to the sensor. Damn dog ate it.
