Thumbs up gen IV carb question

I have an 08 gen IV 5.3 and want to put a carb on it. The question I have is am I going to have problems with the active fuel management with the carb? This is going in a 54 Chevy 2 door daily driver. Please help me out on this.

You and delete the DOD if it has it. There are several that have done it here.

So I need to delete the DoD and change the lifters before I go any further on this thing.

If memory serves me, you can use the stock cam and everything if you like. But if you use a cam, you have to delete the DOD.

I ran my boat for 2 seasons without a problem on my gen iv. This winter I put a cam in so I changed out the lifters, trays, cam gear, valley cover, and tensioner. So yes it will work in your application. I beat on my motor harder than you ever will in that car. I'm talking 5800 rpms for miles at a time.

Displacement on demand. The engines that shut cylinders down on the highway for supposed better fuel mileage.
