A stock 2200 will work. If you want more of a launch, a 2800. If you go cammed, things change again. But 2800 is the max with a 2.73 gear.

If you wanna cruise down the highway I'd run 3.73 gears. Your 2.73 will be too low with the torque of the 4.8 engine to move your car at highway speeds. I punched the nbers into the calculator and 3.73 gears will run you at 2300 at 70 mph. With your 2.73 gears you'll be runnin too low. Wallace racing calculators ( http://www.wallaceracing.com/gear-speed.php ) will let you figure out your rpms. I think 4.10's might be too high for ya but then again it all depends on how much highway you drive with your car. Play with the calculator but don't forget your other gears too.

My 6.0L in a 2500# car turns 2300 RPM at 70 MPH. I could use more gear. So I like 89gmcs15's suggestion of 3.73 gears. Should be just right for the heavier car and slightly less displacement.

I miss my 2.73's...but didn't have OD....since you do, I agree with Zone and Pop (mid 3's would be great)
