Dude this setup is perfect for the look, clean and simple. I was just kicking around the idea of "non innercooled" setup for my 57 Chevy 150 4-door to keep the look simple and clean. I drive this car to work everyday 30 miles and the 235 six is eating 1.5 quarts of oil a week. Not to mention the 11 mpg with the original 3 on the tree at 60mph this thing is wrapped out!. I have a 6.0 on the stand and recently dressed her out with some L92 heads. Cam selection is where i am right now, what do you guys think of the GM Hot Cam for a setup like this or would a LS6 cam work better? 3Pedals I see you have some reservations about the Comp Cam you installed. This 57 will be a daily driver with the kids in the back seat so total sleeper is my goal with this one. I say this now but the plan is for street only, no track time... Oh forgot, 700R4 with 3500 stall and no OD will be in the tunnel.
Awesome car dude.

took the car out for first test n tune of the season, ran 9.54 @ 148.
I struggled with traction and suspension settings, I was unable to launch with boost because of the lack of traction, but still managed 1.47 60 ft's and the 9.54 leaving at 0 boost.
Car needs more testing time so I can leave with 10psi and let it fly.
Here are some vids:
0psi launch - 1.47 60ft, 9.54 @ 148
2psi launch - 1.41 60ft, but spins as soon as I shift into 2nd

It is!
by watching the vids I'm thinking I need to tighten the front shocks radically to keep the front suspension from topping out so soon. And maybe hit it harder with more power
what do you think?

The way the front pops up then drops back down sure does look like it is unloading the rears. I would try it for sure. It seems like it hits the rears pretty hard on the hammer drop too, but I would imagine that is necessary with a stick?
