Pretty much HP and rpm. He is pulling at 6800 rpm so he is well out of the tq range

Finally got the Strange axles in and decided to step the carb up to a 750 since the cam and heads were added. We will hit the dyno Monday evening

Lol, thanks man. I enjoy it because it gives me a change from drag racing but still involves LS stuff. Plus I am not having to flip the bill on it, lol.

Numbers will be pretty low considering it's going on Pauls mustang dyno.

awesome build. this reminds me of our 4cylinder mini rod we ran for 10 years with tricounty tractor pullers. 1300 lb class 26x12x12 tire/ wheel.

2.5 iron duke block stock rods and crank with flattops
4.030 bore 3.00 stroke
Gm performance Pontiac super duty head 2.08 intake valves flowed 350 cfm at 700 lift
solid roller isky cam, jesel shaft rockers
single plane intake 750 holley on alcohol. ( we had a 1050cfm quickfuel 4150 on it before we switched to alcohol)
3spd chevy manual trans 9" ford 5.30 gear

engine lived at 8500 rpm most of the time lol

sorry to hijack lol

That and the super loose 5500 converter that it has in it. But with the heads and cam it picked up 120 hp more over his last dyno session at Paul's. Very pleased in the gains

Wow! 120rwhp with just a cam and head swap!

How much torque did it gain?

I don't even remember Martin. Part of the reason the gains were so high is because it had shitty stock 98 heads. Plus we added a 750 on top over the 650 carb he was running

You didn't tell me you were putting a new carb on it too!

Paul told me it picked up 90rwtq. Said it pulled really well from 4500-6800 and then held flat to a little past 7000rpm.

Seeing how his converter flashes 5500, that strong 4500-7000rpm power band should really help get that weight up and moving on the sled.

The carb was a last minute decision kinda. I'm confident she is gonna be a monster with the changes. Thanks for the help Martin

Ok so we had our first pull of the year today and didn't know what to expect after the head swap and custom cam by Martin at Tick Performance........ Let's say it went well considering he had to pedal to a full pull......

Nice!! I'm hoping to get mine back up and running with new engine setup. Waiting on some Lindy fly cutters to come in.
