Best plugs for my LS3?
I have to admit I fell for all the initial hype on the E3 plugs and have a set in the 72 Camaro. I cant say that Ive had any issues with them, like Ive been reading. I do know my engine just runs out of steam at about 6200rpms. It will pull higher but the power noses off drastically around 6K and is just dead on power past 6200. I ran into an issue with plugs not reving several years ago with some Accel shorty plugs in my SBC 406. It wouldn't rev past about 4800 to 5K till I changed to a conventional length plug and will buzz to 7100 now without hesitation.
My question is, what plug runs good in a NA carb intake LS3 ? NGK TR6 ? I fouled the factory plugs not long after I got the engine running because of a problem with the Fast EZ efi. The problem is fixed now, I just need a plug that will last and give great results with my setup. Thanks!

I haven't done a lot of study on spark plugs, so is the TR6 a style or heat range in the NGK plugs ? My dynamic compression is higher than most and the cranking compression is around 228 psi. Would that dictate a cooler plug than stock LS heat range or make no difference?

The stock heat range is a 5, so going one step cooler to the TR6 is a prudent choice with your increased cranking compression. Going one step cooler isn't a drastic change, but it should give some safety factor since you have no knock sensor to pull timing at the first hint of detonation.
Check the TR6 plugs after a few driving sessions to look for signs of fouling or pre-det.

Stuck the TR6s in and its still hard starting. Ive heard the TPS is Chinese junk on the Fast EZ. I guess that's the next thing to check or the fuel system I built. I may need a one way valve at the tank. It may be that the fuel line isn't priming all the way in the short duration that the pump runs when I first try to crank it ,after it sits over night. It needs one anyway, so I will do that first and see what happens. None of it is an issue once it is running, but with the EFI, one of the main things I wanted was the ease of starting the EFI is suppose to give.
