which intake and carb to use?
I'm selling my fuel injection stuff and just going carb on my ls2 out of a 05 tbss It is stock except I installed a 228r cam with spring kit. It is going in my 72 chevelle in front of a f body t56. Chevelle has 3:73 gears. Only other mod is the edelbrock ls swap headers. What intake manifold and size carb should I purchase?? I'd like to get something in the holley hp series. Car will be a weekend car with not alot of track use but want it to scream ***** when I bury the gas pedal. Thanks

I have a gmpp single plane and 750 double pumper on my stock cam LS2. It definitely screams *****. Just ask the cop I inadvertantly out ran last year.
You have a good bit more cam than the stock LS2. I think most guys will tell you a 750 is good, but you could probably consider one size up.

A guy at the local strip ran a dominator 1050 off a previous motor in his drag car. He put a bone stock LS2 in his 71 chevelle. He said he thought it would be too much carb, but it handled it surprisingly well. Granted this car seen 5000+Rpm A lot. It also had a glide/big stall. And ran High 10s.
