The angle was 4 degrees and it is what most intakes have the carb pad set at. This angle was one of the things that helped keep the cam from walking forward in the block in the days of flat tappets. The lifter rotation (angled nose on the cam) helped a little also.

So I shud be ok at 5 or 5.5 degrees engine angle then? Since the intake will offset most of it then?

I just clip a old cable piece and use sealant.

Letting my mom putt around in the 2.8 powered s10 till I gather up the needed parts. Her Tahoe is broken, so it's the least I can do.

I believe the plug I used was .47 inches, I put very little rtv on it cuz rtv wreaks havoc on trannys then a I put a somewhat large ball of steel putty over it, shudnt be ne problems but dam the passenger side header was a bastard to clearance and now idk where my new trans dip stick will run

Depending on the dipstick, it can be close. Won't hurt anything. I get braided stainless from a seller named welder joe on Craig's list.

I used a flexible one from amazon, its a knock off o a lokar, but is identical, and way cheaper. Just put a bead of trans permatex at the base of it.
