Doug, I just picked up that same can.
PCV's are for emmision control and have no place on a performance car in my opinion.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to either add a catch can or ditch my pcv as well.

I've getting some blue smoke under a load and after a long idle and the outlet side of the pcv is looking pretty moist

One thing that Bugs me though is you would think if pressure was building I'd see oil in my inlet filter and that's simply not the case it's clean as a whistle.

I think the root cause of our problems is these motors just don't have enough ventilation. IMO the two 3/8" inlet-outlets aren't big enough. Nothing stopped an old SBC from venting excess pressure backwards into the breather through the big 5/8" inlet tube, but that little fixed oriface 3/8" fitting on our valve covers ain't big enough for this to happen.

If we could find a breather cap that replaces the oil filler I would bet our problems would disappear.

They make them, have seen plenty of people with them. They spit oil mist too.

Don't think you need to ditch the PCV, just add a quality catch can in line. Rev Extreme and Saikou Michi are suppose to work better than most.

I know GM redesigned the LS2 and above blocks for better breathing in an attempt to reduce the oil in the intake issue. It happens, just need to learn a way to live with it.
