I had this same problem when trying to start my 6.0 for the first time. It spun over fine but would not fire. I checked and rechecked everything over and over, bouth went crazy trying to track down the problem. I was trying to use an older battery that seemed ok and was around the 11.8 volt range. I got a new battery and it started right up. So it definitely needs 12+ volts to work properly.

I don't have any suggestions for you besides try your box on a compatible vehicle if you can. I know that almost sounds impossible but you never know. Or see if anyone else has one that they are willing to try on your vehicle.

Either way you are eliminating a possibility of a bad box.

I just went through this with a Brand New 6010 box. I was lucky to have a bad one right out of the box. Bought another new one and it fired right up. Cost me a week of headaches

Good luck!

You would think a high tech company like MSD would be able to produce something a bit more reliable....

OP, did you hear back from them about your box yet?

If they tell you it is bad, and you have the financial resources, buy 2 of these when you buy it's replacement. Then you will have a spare handy in the event of a failure.

I have seen 1 MSD failure and it was poorly grounded. And I have used more than anyone I know combined, so it is crazy to see any failures for me but maybe I'm just lucky, I also set the rev limiters on my cammed LS motors to 7200 and have had no issues where others are scared to pass 6800.

The first one i bought went bad so this one is the replacement cause it was within warranty. I moved the ground to make sure that wasnt the problem and it ran fine for about a year and a half and was running fine when i parked it at the end of summer. My other msd stuff was grounded in the same place and never had a issue before. My rev limiter was set to 7200 as well and its tickled it a couple times lol.

Did you double check to make sure no wiring was pinched or broken?

Now is the perfect time to do it while the box is gone.
