Default MSD timing table question?

In my 6LS, I tried to add another dot to be able to adjust the timing way down for starting and low idle (under about 1400), but the program would not let me do it. If I deleted one of the dots already in the map, it would let me add one back, but that was the only way. Is there a maximum number of dots you can have in one of these timing tables?

Since the engine is stock, I am shifting at 5900 rpm for safety, so my timing table only goes up to I think 6100 or 6200 as a just in case I over rev. Red line is at 6300 or 6400 I believe.

I have uploaded the tune here and named it 861 cause that was what the pass I ran on it was.

If you have any suggestions or can modify this tune, please let me know what I am missing. To note, it does NOT have a MAP sensor on it.

Thanks.

The max dots one can add is 5 or 6, which is enough I think.

I just got to checking, it is 6. Didn't know that at the time and was having a hard time seeing the screen of my laptop.

See if this timing table looks any better?

Are you serious? That's really disappointing to hear such limited mapping ability for the rpm curve, screws my rough timing map I had worked out that's for sure.

Yes, I'm serious due to the fact that other ignitions for more serious tuning needs are out there.

The 6010/6012 is fantastic for the price and does a ton for a few hundred bucks.

Not that I wouldn't be happier with more but what could you expect?

Fair enough, I've worked out a compromise that'll work with using six timing shift points, using a map sensor won't be happening for my setup anyway.

I don't use a MAP on any of my cars that are intended for *** dragging.

no map here. I am considering pulling some timing up top to see if it will help upper rpm power. Like from about 5k up.
