Default Pick a cam: carbed 5.3 stick car

Well I might aswell join the ever growing list of people asking for cam suggestions.
3200lb Nova street car, 5 speed trans, 3.73 rear gear, stock 2004 5.3l with dual plane intake and 750DP.
Like most I'm on a budget and was hoping to find a cam that will reuse the factory pushrods and spring accessories. I was hoping to buy either LS6 springs or the PAC 1215/1218 springs.
I'd also prefer a brand name cam as its easier for me to buy in Canada.
I'm looking for good power and torque up to 6500rpm and an aggressive sound.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Howards do a few off the shelf grinds that would work good for carb application.

Part number 190325-12, 226/232 @ .050" with 0.578"/0.587" lift @ 112+4

^^^This looks really good for what you are doing. The PAC 1218 springs are a good choice too. I think I you should buy some good pushrods though.

Would the carb benefit from a tighter LSA? Anyone used this cam?
Thanks for the replies so far

Not particularly with it being a mild small cube motor. The 112 LSA is going to have a nice broad torque curve which with a manual trans will be beneficial, and with a 108 ICL and 41* IVC point, you should have no issues running a carb intake.

VLS1 makes a really great point. Back in the day, several of the cam catalogs used to list different cams for manual transmission cars than for automatic equipped cars for this very reason. You never see people talk about this anymore, but it is just as valid now as it was then.

Look at my videos of the edelbrock cams, part numbers 2215 and 2216, I use regular single springs good for .580 lift, nothing special, stock pushrods. The 4.8 went 8.4 at 84 mph with a s10 and 6 speed, the 86 TA with a 5.3 went 7.7 with the larger edelbrock 2216. I shift both just above 7000, but the 2215 starts falling off just after 6500, made 312 rwhp with the 4.8, never dynoed the 5.3 car.
