In a square port, single plane 6 liter engine, a cam that size would need at least a 7200 RPM shift point and want 5000-6000 RPM converter for optimal performance.

The thing about running a single plane on square port heads is that you can make a ton of power and spin to a comparatively high RPM with a much shorter duration cam than a LS6 or FAST intake equipped engine. A lot of guys have disappointing results because they try to overcam a single plane engine.

You said 4000 stall and 7000 RPM max RPM. With those parameters, I recommend that you look at a couple camshafts in this range:

226/240 111+3 on the milder side to 232/246 110+4 on the aggressive side. If your car is on the heavy side, I would pick the milder cam. If your car is very light, I would pick something more toward the aggressive specs.

As you probably know, finding a cam that is ideal for your single plane combo used is pretty unlikely. The reality is, if you want to optimize your combination, you will need a custom cam. The good news is that there are several people who can get you exactly what you need for a price that is about the same as a new off the shelf cam. If you are not sure who to call, you can look at the Q&A section of the single plane camshaft thread to learn a little about some great cam experts who would be thrilled to have your business.

On my single plane intake ( victor jr) L92 heads and 10.8:1 compression, BTR recommended me a 235/248 .610/.595 on 111+4.

Then I guess the 4000 stall and 7000 RPM limit are out the window?

How much advance?

Oh yeah. 5500 converter with that cam, I cannot wait to see what your car does. How soon until it will be out on the track?
