Default Edelbrock 2 piece timing covers

Anybody have any experience with the edelbrock 2 piece timing covers? I'm planing on experimenting with cam timing next year and am considering picking one of these up. Thanks, Eric L

And at $200 it would make my life much easier after the initial install. Eric L

I need to figure out how to hook a choke cable to the VVT and make hillbilly VVT, lol.

It would be nice if somebody developed a stand alone VVT controller.

Some of the late model Camaros are doing some pretty special things with that VVT.

It runs off oil pressure and I think sweets10V8 (worked for comp cams) said they had issues with high rpm stability and high pressure springs messing with the timing consistency.

I went to install a edelbrock 2 piece (removable upper cover), but the damn thing would not clear a double roller timing chain. With some grinding it may have but that was allot of money to have to cut on.

Welcome to the world of engine building. Parts never fit like you think they should. Makes you wonder why they think someone with a stock timing chain needs a two piece cover?

I might use a progressive controller, but it won't be for the VVT, lol. Eric L

Welcome to the world of shut your ***** mouth. Lol

Been there, done that, and it was a friends, if it was mine I would have just did some grinding but them again, I'm too cheap to buy that expensive stuff.

Stocker clears a double but aftermarket doesn't, pretty funny.
