Neanderthal Carb Guy BS Thread

Nice. You will definitely enjoy that bad boy. We built ours too. Its 40 x 60 also. Took us a while, but finally got a two post lift. Best investment I ever made. Don't know how I did it before. Though I had the Taj Mahal. Now I can barely fit four cars in there. Lol But it was fun filling it up.

Yes sir. The 6 perimeter beams bolt down. 6 20' beams bolt together at the peak. Everything else is welded and of course screw the flashing together.
I'm sure it won't belong before there is a "Matt Walters shop" thread going in the future. My only regret is not being able to do this sooner.

not carb related, but this is basically the only section a check on this site...and it's a BS thread.
parts are on the way for the 69 Camaro. the bushings on the plate adaptors are tearing, which put my alternator into the frame and almost caused a fire...I don't like where the adaptors put my motor with my ls3 accessories or how low the trans mount hangs...I have some BRP hotrods solid motor mounts being made along with some hedman 2" primary 3.5" collector coated longtubes.
anyone ever ran exhaust under the rear axle? I know there is not enough room to go over and i'm not wild about dual 3.5" exhaust with 12" bullets dumping under my back seat.

So, I pick my Daughter up from School after her Softball game with the Camaro.
I have this Yahoo in a Jeep riding my *** on the way home....not happy with that.
We get down to a 4-way stop where I tell my Daughter to hang on. I throw it in low and go WOT....straight up in smoke, bouncing on the limiter I hit 2nd where I was still bouncing off limiter, bang 3rd and now about 1-2 city blocks ahead seeing the Jeep in a haze of tire smoke
I turn into my neighborhood only to see the temp. gauge at 200 and climbing....**** !...So I get on the gas to get a little speed, bump it into neutral, drifting to my house, seeing a trail of coolant in the rearview along the way.
Shut it off, open the hood, and....no belt (great...not) I tell my Daughter I'll be right back, so off to the scene of the crime....yeppers....theres my belt.
Now, coolants been topped off and I have a spare belt in the car.

LOL, not much anyway
I think the way my belt is routed and the way I set my tensioner up, it pulls the tensioner to the loose side Vs. making it tighter
May need to mod the tensioner so it's not spring loaded, but bolt tensioned like the old SBC set-up ?

not sure which accessory layout you're using, but ICT Billet makes these for most configurations. this one happens to be the f-body configuration. price is right too
