I putting a proven 403 shortblock from somebody famous here A new LLSR for carb application, and back to my 4l60e instead of the glide. Hopping for 8's on a Banzai pass. Car is already to go suspension wise.

Sounds like that bad boy is going to be right when it is done though.

Only update on my project today is this velocity stack:

The only problem with it is that it does not fit on top of my carburetor without this adapter from ProCharger :

I've ran the 4l60e for over 2 seasons on hard nitrous passes with a bunch of mid 130's 60', gotta love the 3:06 1st gear. Its a RPM level X with a 4000 circle D tripple disc.

I got you matched on cubes, and I have boost too. It might be a good race. i have a ton more tire, so lets do it on the street

nah, i'm not sure that my car will ever see a track. It would break my heart to put it into a wall. I need another disposable s10, or one of those tin can disposable mustangs zane has outside of his shop.

zane and I have played with the idea of throwing a heads/cam/blown lq4 of mine into one of his tin cans for fun, but the guy i purchased from doesn't have the time to pull it all...and he's probably under 5' of snow now.

Car weighs about 3000 has ac, especially in Florida. It's a purpose built sleeper. Stock shifter, and gauge in glove box and nitrous switches under ashtray lid. Nobody suspects it runs single digits. Just another 12 sec car on 10 holes.

my new job at the chassis shop is going very well and i'm in the middle of a bunch of house updates to our house in MD to try to get on the market and sell. thusly, the car has sat mostly untouched since dragweek. i did get the engine back to the house from venom in early november and the engine is sitting in the car, but i have to get the trans back in and button up some stuff. i will put antifreeze in it and do some road testing on a nice saturday once it's together. but honestly, till i have the house on the market, the car stuff is really having to wait, and that's hard for me.

Steward, and if some yahoo in a Prius runs a light T-boning you....take it to the track, enjoy it for what it was built for.

Matt, wishing you luck...but I don't think you'll need it.
Can't wait to see some of the builds

So far, shocks are in, rear end is hanging and ready for me to pull the lower control arms off and cut/weld the lower control arm bracket so I have a Ic in the car. Have a fuel pump lined up. So, hopefully I’ll be hooking better and getting it done on a radial. Then I’ll start jetting up. Texas heavy hitters event is coming and so far, the only rules I don’t fit are my jegs race seats. A friend has some knock off recarro type that I can use. I may go in out gunned but I hope I get lucky and make some rounds. Assuming the ol bucket doesn’t have any mechanical issues between now and then.

If a prius hits me, i'm insured. if i wreck at a track, i'm SOL. I may change my tune once i get the car running and get comfortable in it. my only experience with it so far is chassis issues...it runs like a rattle trap under load, and i had an upper control arm come loose. no ARB front or rear and the 4 link was setup wrong. the 4 link was starting to crack welds where it met the chassis...it just hasnt given me a warm fuzzy feeling yet. hopefully that's fixed and gives me enough confidence to not stick it straight into a wall.

rick stevens said that the chassis/tub work was great, but the 4 link left a ton to be desired. I think whoever built the 4 link wasnt the same person who did the rest of the work...it's like looking at 2 completely different jobs as soon as you get to the back half of the suspension.

IF....IF I wreck at the track, which is always a chance any time you drive, It will find its way on the trailer and onto a side road somewhere for the police report

Mine is a toy, expensive, but still a toy.
I would be more afraid to tell the daughter than the wife.

BUT....I do agree. Needs to be sorted out and SAFE FIRST !

Anywho...

3" exhaust sitting in the garage (undecided on mufflers, thinking Dynomax 17221 Ultra-Flo Mufflers ?) EDIT: Just ordered them

Rocker trunion bushing upgrade...sitting on workbench right now, and need new torque wrench that goes below 50#.

Re-hookup the "noids"... was ready to pull and sell Cheater System. Unsure still.

Waiting on the weather.

My old 64 Buick Special changed hands again. I still have a soft spot for this car. I had originally built the chassis back when the World Street Finals first got big in Orlando.
