Default Fun at the strip

Went to the local track recently. Not as fast as some cars on this forum, But my goal with this car has always been 100% streetable fun and reliability.

393" stroker, AI heads, 222/226 cam, Performer RPM.
Stockish T56, 8.2" 10 bolt.

This was my third run, Was getting better with each launch, Then some import oiled the track and night was over. Probably for the best, not sure how much more the 10 bolt can take. Also, the tech guy reminded me about the 11.50 rollbar rule.

Nice times, that thing would love more cam but I bet it makes some serious power down low.

That is a very cool combo gjestico. Drive anywhere set up that will run with most anything out there. Nicely done.

How do you like the t-56?

I bet that car is a lot of fun to drive!

Looking at gjestico's dyno results post back in May, gotta love the torque curve of that engine. Seriously fun street combo.

I have another dyno graph that shows a bit over 400 ft/lbs at 2500. Works real well with the manual trans. Instant thrust in any gear just above idle. I love the T56, Totally transformed the driving experience. Just hope I don't break it !.

It weighs 3605 with me onboard and a 1/4 tank on the drag scales.

Sorry Zone, not planning to muck with the cam at this point. Martin did spec me a bigger one a while back, But I love the powerband as it is. Don't want to muck with it. I even have a Vic Jr on hand that I have not tried yet, Not sure it will gain much.

Sooooooo, how much of a NOS shot would it take me to get a 10.xx slip ?? I might slap on a kit just to get a hero slip. Stock suspension. Prob will only be able to spray in 2nd and up. They would kick me out for sure. Might only get one shot.

as above more cam, can still be tame, especially with manual.

i run a version of the 10 bolt running 10.0, but few hundred pounds lighter, lol
