Default t the best heads i should be running

ok I have a 2001 4.8 with a gm hot cam 219/228 525 lift 112 lsa and a street deamon 625 cfm and 862 heads. this is in a 74 mgb weighs about 2300 with me in it. I have a turbo 350 and a ford 8 inch rear w/ 279 gears. this winter I will be putting a 2800-3000 stall. any ways what heads do you recommend for the best torque/hp. I rebuilt her last winter all new bearings, rings and gaskets, I was wondering also I have the edelbrock/msd ignition box non programmable. I really cant figure out what pill is the best. I have been looking at the 243 heads or 799 just not sure any help will be greatly appreciated thank you

Man, the stock heads are already a lot of head for a 4.8. I think I would be tempted change to a 6.0 shortblock rather than increasing the size and/or flow of the heads. I am betting that converter is going to help tremendously.

Thanks Speedtigger I have never run a stall but you think it will help out? Cool, what do you think I should go with.

Since you have a TH350, I would talk to PTC about it. Being that you have a light car and a smaller engine it will stall less than it would in a heavier car like mine. So, tell them what you got.

Yes bud. Stall is one of the most important parts of a vehicle. I would definitely address that first before I went with heads. Also, I'd probably try to do a bigger one then what you are looking at.

Some mildly cleaned up 243 or 799s would be perfect. My s10 with the 243s runs fantastic.
