You get to speeds of 5.5s, I dont care if the track wants me to have a cage or not. I like living. My cage is iffy for the way I run. It would be best to be re done and will be one day. Im done when I run 5.8s , but i will do it NA.

If I wanted NA 5.8s I would just do a big block and probably go faster, but that's too much cash to build them big motors.
I am going to get the car set up running and then I'll do the roll cage, maybe, depends on if I got a deal locally on one laying around.

You already have most of the ingredients to go that fast. You just need to follow the formula man. Fast89Stang and Monk have demonstrated it as well as others. You don't have to reinvent the wheel, just get the combo dialed. You talk about grudge racing. Talk to the guys who try to get a race with a turbo LS Mustang. Nobody wants any. Worse yet, if you build a turbo Mustang and it does not make the number, be ready for ridicule. People have very high expectations for that combo now.

Yup, that's why I wouldn't mind a 4.8.
Option one: I won't run you because turbo LS in light fox
Option two: that runs slow for a turbo LS fox
Option 2, I can say it doesn't matter because tiny truck engine and turn up the boost. Lol
And tigger, your spot on. That's why I am going to do it. It's been done, it works with no doubt and it will perform easily.
Worst case, blow engine and get another for next to nothing and keep going.
An engine diaper is going to be invested though. Because rolling power and oil under the back tires from catastrophic failure is not something I want to experience.

Too easy to do no adder. I love people saying no way mine is cam only. I bet i can get in the 5s easy enough with mostly stock iron 6.2. Dont need no stinking turbo. Lol. Too much trouble to tune here. Nothing local.

The Holley setup I'll be using is self tuning. So it will be what makes it worth it, like my carb setup. Won't be worried about needing any help to make it go.

I'd fix the motor u have and then go from there.. get it running them find deals on the turbo stuff and when u get everything together then put it on... U can alwways pull timing and lower shift points to get down to 7.5 and run that class

I'd fix the motor u have and then go from there.. get it running them find deals on the turbo stuff and when u get everything together then put it on... U can alwways pull timing and lower shift points to get down to 7.5 and run that class
I will say, the converter snatches the tires loose hard, where the old one would spin a ever so slight touch and then bite.
But, time will tell. Not going to fix the trans without doing something with the engine while it is making this ticking noise. Took it to 7200 and it doesn't make any worse of a noise, so maybe a lifer swap and a custom cam wouldn't be a bad idea but that would require me spending cash on better head a while I was at it.
