i only have a 5 point roll bar in the car right now. the cage i'm putting in is just good to 8.50. it's mild steel and i'll be MIG welding it in. there is a second 8 pt roll bar (10.00 stuff) for a buddy's car in the bed of the truck too, which is why there are so many bars back there.

i do have some exciting news to relay as well. AFCO and Brian Tooley Racing both have come on for a partial sponsorship. I will have a fresh set of shocks/struts and some fresh valve springs for 2016

well the car finally made it into it's spot for this year's updates. also, had a cool gift show up that should help with the data analysis portion of this. it's an older autometer 34 channel data logger. i'm pumped

i got more done this weekend. it was cold out, but the little kerosene heater was pumping and i made a big fire in the fireplace in the basement and it was manageable with a couple of thermal shirts and jacket. the car is now pretty much stripped down where i can really see what i'm working with.

Damn, and I was riding my Harley just before dark in a T shirt and jeans. I don't think I could do that crap Matt. I thoroughly enjoy firing up my turds and driving 365.

The quest for weight reduction can be fun and addicting. The 64 Special I used to have looked like swiss cheese underneath.

throw some tires on it. It looks race ready to me!

don't go too crazy with weight reduction IMO. everyone likes a clean streetable look. swiss cheese track cars make me cringe.

BUT....you're a thrasher, and will make it happen I'm sure (a very understanding wife helps too )

well, i didn't get everything done i wanted to this weekend, but i also had ZERO idea how much work was involved in the mini tubs. my cousin Chucky, whom i've been helping build and maintain his car over the last couple of years came up yesterday and helped me get a few things hammered out. so long story short, here's some pictures of what we did.

all cut out

then boxed it all in with 1/8" plate to make sure it's strong
