Matt, as for the bigger carb...
Holley rates flow at 750cfm...but that's a dry number
Demon rates flow at 750cfm....but that's a wet number (dry flow is 930ish so I'm told)

I have a mighty demon 750 (DP carb) on my car, may not do a thing, but....theres an option ?

would also need larger baseplate, right? when you buy both of those components, you're less than halfway to a nice carb. been thinking a lot about going with something a little more custom, but need to come up with some coin first

i do have an air pan, i've just not been using it. my testing was inconclusive. i'll try that out again though my wheels are the lightest available on the market. i am pretty **** about WOT, but i haven't checked in a while, so i'll make sure the cable didn't stretch or the bracket didn't move.

even if they were cheap, it's a street car. i can't make myself do the fiberglass front end and doors thing.

i'll keep you in the loop. i've had some rough experiences with demon carbs in the past.

sorry to just shoot down all these ideas, lol.

My n/a 6.0 LOVED my 850 mighty demon. I had zero issues getting a nice flat 12.8- 12.9 a/f curve.
I even had no problems with driveability tuning that big *** carb on the street

Ah yes. You will need a baseplate also. As for the custom carb thing, unless you are spending $1500-$2000 on a custom carb, you are likely not getting the real thing. That is all I will say about that. But, you might come out ahead of you buy a Q1000 and sell your 750.

sadly the 750 isn't mine, so i can't sell to recoup. Devane carbs sells one for around $1300. it's a fully billet bad little dude. he calls it the "lil evil" carb, which seems to be similar to a "Lil Bo" from BLP.

for $750ish i can get a DaVinci 4150, which looks to start out with something like a quickfuel or proform center.

at the moment i could probably allocate $200 towards something like this, lol, so back on the street corners i go, haha!

Would be bad *** if they would let you test a SV1000 carb. Makes me wonder.

Robbie seems like a pretty good guy. I see him out at the local cash days events.

for the glass fenders etc...I know the s10 guys skin the inside of the front fenders and end up at the same weight as glass fenders. freebie with no paint/body work.

They're already just skins factory in these cars. Removing weigh from inner fender area on these cars typically requires strut bars on the cage since the struts go through the towers

2 is all we've ever planned for, so that's what we're going to try to stick with.
