Default first time out with the new setup

Had a succesful night testing the car. Its got plenty of room for improvement. its a 1967 chevelle with a cam only lq9 with stock 317 heads. 1.55 60ft, 7.17 @95 in the 1/8th. And an 11.37 to the 1/4. I need a different convertor, it hits 6,000 really quick and quits pulling after that. But all in all it was a successful first outting.

Very cool. I just got my Camaro running with the same cam only lq9, I hope to get it to the track this coming weekend. What's the race weight on your Chevelle?

Nice run and setup. How much you think the vacuum pump is helping? And how hard was it to convert the truck pump over to the electric set up?

Car weighs 2950 without me in it. The water pump wasnt to hard to do, i just had to build a bracket for the motor and install the pulley on the pump.

My Camaro was 3150 wo me and 3450 with me. 7.0 at 97 was its best, being a manual trans helped but that tells me you have plenty left in that combo for sure. Looks great man!

The global west stuff is nice but i would buy TRZ if i had to do it all over again. The rear is a stock width 12 bolt with 4:88 gears and a strange spool. I did my own mini tub by cutting the frame rails in half and welding them back together and adding supports. I could fit a 12 inch wheel if i narrowed the rear end but for now its a 29.5 10.5 on a 10 Inch wheel.

I am using a f-body pan. The GM muscle car pan hung down an inch and a half below the crossmember. The mounts are some cheap aluminum adjustable ones I found on amazon.

Very Nice! I'm going to run that same engine head combo carbed in a 69 Camaro and wanted to change the camshaft and maybe valve springs, rockers and pushrods if needed. What cam did you go with? Thanks
