Cam for this 5.3 set up ???

Default Cam for this 5.3 set up ???

5.3 ,799 heads milled .35. Vic jr or rpm , 750 hp,1 3/4 headers,350 trams ,3500 stall, 3.55 gears ,275-50 dr's. 79 coupe mustang. I was thinking about a eddy cam 22115 ?

Maybe because your setup is similar to some combos and has been discussed many times..

That cam will work fine. It will run good. You could make more power a more aggressive grind. But, if you mill the heads like you plan, it will be hard to fit much more. In fact, just to be safe, checking your valve clearance with that cam would be a good idea.

thanks a lot ! what intake should i run ? BTW the heads have been milled .15thousands making them 62cc should i leave them and go with a little more cam

Any plans to run nitrous? What type of tire will you be running on the back? What type of idle do you like?

MT DR's 275-50 or 255-60.....rough idle...nos in the future

My kinda guy!

I would go Victor Jr. with this cam 228/240 110+4. It is Cam Motion grind# XA228/365-X240-350-10+4. It will run hard to 7000 RPM, have a real nice thumping idle and have acceptable valve clearance as long as you don't cut the heads to more than .015". As always, check the P to V just for safety sake.
