Holley sniper efi
Anyone ever pull there carb off and put a self tuning efi setup on like a holley sniper. I’ve been thinking if going this route on my lq4 nova but wondering if I can keep my msd 6014 will it be compatible?? I really don’t want to put the stick efi back on the carb seems better then that.

I did ! If you need any help pm me . I have a 6.0 with 243 heads and a 230/236-596-586-112 cam . It works really good however at the current time I'm about To go from a dual plain to a single plain intake because of a few issues caused by the dual plain . Car idles better and has more stable afr and the harness from Holley is plug and play and very neat. Your 6014 will work just fine .

I havent run the Sniper, but i have run the original Fast EZ EFI and am currently running the Fitech 1200 power adder set up on my turbo LS. Both ran and run flawlessly with the MSD boxes. I ran the 6012 on the Fast EZ and the Fitech. I just changed over to the 6014 box on the Fitech and it fires and idles great. Im doing a few other things to the car not engine related ( interior ) so i havent done amything other than fire the car up with the new box, but im confident it will do just as well as the 6012 did .
just install both the efi and ignition separatly per each units instructios and they will do their thing . Its just like the old days with a carb and dizzy, just way easier !

Read the posts above. As they say, wire the MSD as per instructions, then wire the Holley as per instructions and let each do its thing. How is yours different?

I'm getting confused on how to wire up the coil input negative yellow wire? I got the battery positive battery negative switched ignition. Where do I hook up the yellow wire.?

I don't know. Refer to each set of directions, and call if you can't figure it out.

The MSD 6014 will work with the Sniper EFI. However, the Sniper EFI will have no control over the timing.
The timing curve will need to be created in the MSDView software for the MSD 6014 LS Ignition Control.
The Gray Wire coming out of the 6014 would then be connected to the Sniper and configured as a CD box.

I’m also trying to install this system and I need some installation help for the wiring on the efi side. Like the crankshaft sensor + wire and the yellow coil input wires one on the main harness connector and the other from the relay harness

It has several benefits over carbs. For one you never have to adjust or tune it. The efi system is constantly making adjustments (like a thousand times a minute) to get the perfect tune every time. Second with this system you’ll get increased fuel mileage and third with the 800 cfm you’ll get more horsepower than a conventional carburetor. The more airflow means more power with a carburetor you cannot do this

Putting a Sniper on a carb intake on a LS makes zero sense. For the same cost, you can get the Terminator X system add some used OEM EFI bits and enjoy fully sequential multi-point fuel injection with spark control and much more!

The Holley Sniper master kit from summit racing cost approximately $1,300 plus msd 6014 $396. Total $1,696. The terminator master kit $2,900. I don’t know about you but $1,200 difference makes sense to me to have nearly the exact same thing plus I can change my timing on the fly with the MSD box plus setup for nitrous and charged systems as well.
Add multi port fuel injection is a lot more than just adding a few bits here and there. Lol you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. And to get all the parts for a multi port injection your gonna spend nearly $3k. Hands down I’ll put this induction setup against any multi port and make just as much or more power.
As for my application I don’t want a modern looking engine in my 57’. With this setup and some coil covers I can have my 6.0L 600+ horsepower LS and when you pop the hood it looks like a classic engine. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too? Plus the sniper is rated at 50 horsepower more than the terminator

I think Project GatTagO means the Terminator X which is about $1000. But I could be wrong...
