Update on the coupe
Went to the track tonight for the first time since the last outing where it was popping and sputtering all motor.
Relocated the lowers, new shocks, new fuel pump, new filter since the old one was full of foam from the fuel cell, removed said foam, etc.
One pass before the rain started. Wheels up a half foot and banging and popping was still there.
So, traction is there but the blasted engine stumble is still there.
I’ll go trough the carb this weekend and see what’s up. Hopefully I find it.
Odd enough is the car doesn’t do the shuddering and popping on the street beating the hell out of it.
I have 2 more days of the track that I can tune before Texas heavy hitters, so I hope I figure it out so I can run.

Any chance it could be a weak or broken valve spring?

Rebuilt the carb, reloaded the grounds from the heads for the coils to the battery. Gained 2 Mph and banged out less. Said **** that and sprayed it a few times. She was rolling once she hooked but the 60 foot times were garbage. **** has me pretty hot and bothered.
