I ran one on my 408 with LS3 heads for a while. Its pretty low with short runners. I thought it would be ok since I turn it to 7500, but I switched to the taller Holley split intake and picked up quite a bit (couple tenths) in the 1/8. Another slight downside for me is that it takes a paper gasket instead of o-rings like the rest of them.

I don’t think this is the same intake you’re referring to.

Only bad thing I've heard about the Holley Split is the height.

As for the LSX intake...maybe for high rpm type stuff, will hurt the lower rpms TQ/HP

It’s actually 8 inches taller. That’s taller than the Holley split intake

It is definitely not taller. It looks like the intake I was referring to except for the o-rings, which is a good upgrade, but runners may be on the short side unless you’re spinning it up to 8k rpm.

Here’s the intake I was talking about. Very similar.

yes. I know that intake too. These are two different intakes. The plenum and everything is larger on this intake I’m talking about.

If you purchase one, check the straightness of the runners. I ran a Holley 300-130 for over a year while it leaked vacuum the whole time.
