Default HELP! How do I dismantle the center console (98 camaro 'vert)

Last night, my key slipped into the crevasse just behind the ashtray. The key is no where in sight and it seems the only way to get to it is by removing or at least shifting the center piece so that I can get the key out...

If anyone can think of a way to get it out besides that, let me know! Otherwise, how do I go about moving that piece?

go to the install document for the short stick on an m6 car. it shows where all the bolts are to remove the center console. its going be a little different because you have an a4, but it something you should probably fee able to figure out. to remove the shift **** on your car, remove the staple in front of the **** and pull it off.

remove the staple on the shift ****, pull the shift **** up
remove the small screws on the upper console frm inside the console compartment
lift up on the upper console and remove the shift plate light

(easier to set the ebrake and put the car in gear to remove the upper console)
