I did this last night, wet sanded, then dry sanded with 2000 grit.
Then CLEARED with 1500° clearcoat dupont paint. EDIT Went back and purchased UV paint for plastic, worked great on the toyota today

Here is the result....
BEFORE:

AFTER:

Cost me $0.00 I had the clear paint and sandpaper left over from other projects.
I actually just sanded, then cleared, let sit for about 30 minutes, and they were on the car over night. Clean and clear now
And the water is from rain last night.

Man, that looks good! I need to do some of that on my car's front end. Bugs, rock chips, Air compressor line scuffs, etc have left my poor car's nose a bit unattractive

Pulled the engine off the cradle, put the engine on my engine stand, put them both in my shed. I'll be pulling off the intake, heads and pan to freshen up things a bit.

And it only took like 20 minutes too! I was very close to order new headlights, this saved me from buying new ones

Thanks

Pulled off the Turbo (looks good inside) and bagged it up, put it on the shelf. Took off the hotside. Replaced the motor mounts with Poly versions. Tomorrow, off comes the intake, heads, oil pump and oil pump drive gear.

I looked out the window earlier and thought, "damn, this thing looks awful even though it's been raining 3 weeks straight."

Running lean when? At cruise? At idle? At WOT? How do you know? What are the symptoms? A scanner or plug readings or a lean stumble?

Walked past it and got into my turbo buick for some errands.

Went and found a 6.0 long block for the camaro, bought some lights for the toyota, bought some churches chicken (spicy) and a 18 pack of bud light lime.

Walked past the camaro again on the way into the house, dusted off the 9k turbo trans am, looked at the other project in the other bay and was lost.

Now looking online for crank kit, rods and pistons for the camaro.

it started stumbling after i went WOT, and then it would bog off the line. I put the scanner on it and it said both banks were running lean, so i checked fuel pressure and it was at 40 psi, from my understanding thats low for the ls1. injectors are clean fuel filter isnt clogged, I recently changed my fuel pump twice, a line kept coming off, Its the hard plastic line thats vaccum sealed. I put a hose clamp on it but I was told that the clamp will just hold the line in place but some fuel can still escape. I'm gonna take it out and get it exchanged for a better quality pump.
