Good thing you got the "SLP SS", and not just the regular SS...

er....

They're all from SLP. There is no special "SLP SS". WU8 means it was a Z28 that went to SLP to become a SS. Y2Y will be "second sticker" options like floor mats, dual/dual exhaust, Auburn diff, etc...

Congrats on the win.

You should not have bid on it unless you had secured financing first.

It's real simple. Your bank sends a certified check to the sellers lein holder to release the title. Any difference (if any) would be given to the seller. This is how I've sold all my cars, except for the last one.

OR, your bank simply approves the loan, gives you a certified check to give to the seller to pay off the vehicle. Draw up a bill of sale, and then wait to receive the title. This is how I sold my GTO in May.

Good luck.

That will be the most memorable trip of owning your SS. Well, likely.

I remember driving mine home (even though it was only a 45 minute drive lol)

YES! so change 1 is to shut her up a bit. lol

i need to find out what will sound decent and be quiet or just a bit louder than stock. i was thinking FlowMasters, Borla, DynoMax, or Ed-Brock.

what do you guys think willl work best. Or is there a kit out there i should just get?

Reason i am doing this is because i live in NY and Trooper here and in NJ where i work will love to ticket me for noise. so i gotta do this.

Right now it has LongTube headers with out cats and Y-pipe. i forgot what muffler it has but it is very LOUD.

thanks

Well, from shopping for exhaust myself, I can tell you some I don't like, at least when they are on LT1 cars.

Magnaflow pops when you let off the throttle. Sounds annoying/lame to me.

Flowmaster 40 Series sounds like diarrhea in a toilet, literally!

Flowmaster 80 Series is wayyyyy too loud.

Don't know what they sound like on LS1 cars, so maybe this information isn't helpful.

I do know that I love what's on our '02 SS, but we have cats, so the sound might be different. We have the SLP Center Mount Exhaust system. Not just the tips, it was an entire cat-back. I don't think it's sold anymore. It roars and reverberates.

is the cutout open or closed.. it shouldnt be as loud as your making it out to be...

SLP is quiet... dynomax also makes a very quiet muffler..
