Default stock rear gears?

(i know this is the wrong place but couldnt find where to post this)

what are the stock rear gears for a 1994 camaro with a stock V6 rearend??

maybe in the gears and axel forum...I know my 01 M6 WS6 came with 3.42s and my buddies a4 3.23s if that helps.

I don't know about the pre-98 stuff, but my 00 V6 had 3.42's with posi in it because it had the Y87 package.. If a similar package was around then, you'd have to do some research to see if your car has it..

Nope the stock rear for v6 cars is a 3.08 open then with a manual it can only have the 3.23 option the 3.42's are an option in autos.

This is aboslutely correct. The 3.08 are always open, the 3.23 can be open or posi, and the 3.42's were posi only. That might help narrow it down.

thanks guys. im in the proces of putting a first gen sbc 350 in it with a turbo 350 trans. so am i going to have no top end at all? and theres a new rear end in my future plans what should i go with?
