It's called the L69 dual snorkel as it came on the 305 L69 RPO code HO engine. They are not cheap for what they are and perform marginally.
If it was my car I would go this route.
1. get the black plastic air intake "Y shaped" tubing from a TPI IROC or Z28.
2. Get the plastic air filter base that goes in front of the radiator
3. Get a universal cold air carb adapter kit that fits on your carb and has a single hose outlet on it.
4. Point that outlet towards the front of the car and with other parts from that kit hook it to the black Y IROC air intake.
5. Now remove all of the black plastic from infront of your radiator and behind the fog light openings in the nose.
6. Rig up some air ducts either out of thin sheet metal, dryer hose (not preferred), or somethign else to get cold air from the fog light ducts to the air filters in base tray.
The above kit is comparable to a ram air set up and with the car running you can literally hear the engine sucking air from that setup when standing in front of the car. We've proven this setup to be effective numerouse times. 1 examples is a friend with a 305 5spd IROC gained a 1/2 second in the 1/4 by doing this "ram air" kit.
