Default OIL HELP....PLz

ok so we just changed my oil and I put in Mobile 1 10w-30 is this the wrong oil for an LS1? I just read it was suppose to be 10w-40...god I hope I didn't mess up and that it was a type o on the other guy's behalf. Once again need help ASAP

Just wondering what the oil psi should be around...40psi or closer to 60psi?

40 at idle when warm, 60 if cold and on acceleration but anywhere in that range is great -also the stock oil pressure gauge sucks so if your anywhere close to that I wouldn't worry...

Where did you read 10w40? The bearing clearances are pretty tight for a 40 weight oil. I believe 5w30 is the reccomended and 10w30 ok for the warmer temps. I Just put in 10w30 last night mobil 1 synthetic.

I saw it posted on this forum by at least two guys in one of the oil swap threads...I searched real quick for the link but there is so many of them I lost which one I saw it in.

I use 0-40 personally but have used 5-30 as well...
