Default Pulley Question

I just got my car back from the shop and was informed that my tensioner pulley and my serpentine belt needs to be replaced. Is this a pulley that I can replace with a pulley that adds HP? I'm a bit of a virgin when it comes to pulleys... just never f'ed around with them. I plan on doing the work myself, just that I dont know what to buy. Are any of the pulleys replaceable with something that adds HP? Any help will be useful... thanks.

What about pulleys that add HP? Do I have this option? Since i'm getting in there, I think I'd like to go ahead and replace the ones that can give me some juice...

A pulley isn't going to add Horsepower. Hate to break your heart lol. The pulley doesn't do anything, it just sits there and spins.

No problem. Everyone has to learn somehow. The only pulley that would make ANY difference is the harmonic balancer, and in my opinion it's not enough of a difference to justify the extra cash.
