Midwest chassis sells one that is the "short" version that mounts to the tunnel not the trans. and the cross member it attaches to comes in like 5 different style one of which is for true duals

Well, im really happy with how the car is performing since we did all the maintenance last week.
Fuel economy has really increased.
I filled up sunday night and still have a quarter of a tank left, where normally i would have had to have filled up yesterday morning if not sooner.
The car drives much more smooth and no more backfires! lol

Nice car. How do you like the 3 speed on the street? What gear do you have in the rear?

Sounds like your electrical issues might be a loose ground.

Its ok, id prefer to have something with overdrive (built 4l80e) to get a little better mileage. Gearing is 3.55

Today has not gotten off to the best start, from the time we replaced all the gaskets (last sunday, about 250 miles of driving) to now, the low oil light is already on. WTF?!?!?!

Looks like the problem all along was using oil.......

I guess time to rebuild. Im thinking 6.0

Yea mine burns oil bad also and I'm needing a rebuild. I wish I could help point you towards a decently priced 6.0 but I can't find any lol
