Default My Z28 Build: Beat up to bad ***

Well i guess since there isnt an official "Build Section" i will post this here.
I recently purchased an 01 Z28 Camaro, it isn't in too horrible condition, but has seen better days.

Current Mods:
HPE S Cam and HPE Tuned
Kooks Long Tubes
Meziere Electric Water Pump
TSP True Dual Exhaust
FTI Level 3 TH400 with 3600 Stall
It did have 19 front and 20 rear C6 Z06 wheels, but those were too much for me, so im selling them and currently have stock SS 17's on it.

Current Issues:
No Speedo, TH400 was never hooked up to electric Speedo
Passenger Side Window Motor/Guide are bad
Vibration while cruising at certain RPM's (occasionally 2500, usually 3500-4000)
Interior is kinda rough, back seats aren't too bad, fronts are torn on seat bottom. Middle console could stand to be replaced as well, probably go with a good condition used one and a new Shifter.
Needs a good tune up: That wil get done this weekend.
Front bumper has some chips, and paint issues.
Exhuast is hanging a little low, need to get it hung a little higher up.

Thats all i can think of for now. Ill post some pics up later and we'll get this journey started!

Its also got a pretty wicked miss when its cold, once it gets up to operating temp tho, it runs really well. It throws 3 codes, p0134, p1133 and 1153.
The last two are the front o2's, so good that be the culprit?
Should i switch them out for the vette o2s that ive been reading about?
Or could it just need a good tune up. Plugs, wires, filters, check/ clean maf and other sensors?

Yea your o2's could be. My car was running like ****. Sounded like an old farm truck, i was throwing like 4 codes. It turned out the my o2 extension had melted. Unplug your o2s and see if it still misses. If not there is your problem, if it does plug them back in and unplug the maf and see if it stops

Also there is a few good options on a tune that will get you set up nicely

Starting to think a lot of my problems are electrical. My lights have started flickering horribly, and occasionally when slowing down the voltage guage will drop dramatically, at or a little below 13.

If i can find a truck alternator this week i plan on doing the truck alternator swap and the Big 3 upgrade and see if that helps things.

Good luck with the build, I hate electrical problems. I can't ever seem to pin point issues very quickly. This sounds like it will be a good fun little project.

It's replacing the positive alternator cable, the ground on the block and the ground on the passenger side fender with better/Thicker (0 guage ) wire. It's recommended if using a stronger alternator.

Got my tax return today. Finally can order some parts. Found an slp loudmouth 1 catback locally, so I'm going to order a y pipe to replace the current exhaust set up. Also, the car is waaaaaayyy to low, it scrapes on everything, and when i make right turns the exhaust scrapes. so I'm taking out what i was told were 2" drop springs and replacing them with some stock springs for now.
Also ordered an FTI electric speedometer conversion kit.
Going to be a busy couple of weeks coming up!

Yup, found a KG3 truck alternator today to put on it. Now i just need some wire for the big 3 upgrade.
As for the springs, im buying some stock ones off a guy locally. Going to put them on for now and sell whatever is on there now. Spring is unkown brand, but was told by previous owner its a two inch drop.

Also, Im going to change the exhaust set up. Currently has kooks headers and tsp true duals dumped. Its way to loud for my taste. I like loud but this is insane.

The same guy im getting the springs from has an SLP LM1 cat back for sale, so im getting that, and i ordered a y pipe today. Once the y pipe comes in, ill be installing that (hopefully by next wednesday).

I went with a pacesetter OR Y pipe. I would have gotten a kooks, because i know it will fit, but there is NO WAY i was going to pay 350 for there y pipe, i just think thats nuts.
I know ill probably have to do some fabbing to get the pacesetter and kooks to work together, but im not to worried about it.
