Insulated my air intake box today to help keep out the heat soak from it being mounted directly over the radiator

I know better, I shouldn't of wasted my money on junk parts. Lesson learned…again.

I thought about repacking mine. It just seems like every time I would break that factory seal and repack a wheel bearing , it would leak

go to the chart, click on the selection and select 1998 fbody m6. Enter your tire size you are using then down in the axle ratio section delete the 3.42 ratio and put in 4.10. Then press calculate. You will then see a graph on the right side of the screen. This shows what speed your car is traveling at, at any given speed and gear selection... i have 4.10s and its the same as your car, at 70 mph the car is turning around 1900-2000 rpm in 6th gear.

I starred at mine. Needs a thermostat and water pump...trying to budget money for a trip in a few weeks. 400-ish for thermostat, water pump, coolant, and window motors. Might look at a bit more if I need a radiator.

I'll probably be doing cylinders 6 and 8 in a couple of days... Not looking forward to that.

Yeah they are no picnic. Mine was on ramps when I did it, and #8 I got from the bottom easier.
Glad my thread is still alive and kicking. With warmer weather I hope to report soon about actually driving mine!
