Glad my thread is still alive and kicking. With warmer weather I hope to report soon about actually driving mine!
So true. I can only get #8 out from under the car. If you have the air and egr deleted you can do it in an hour. If you don't have AC it's even less

Dropped it of for the MD safety inspection. Also known as "find anything they can wrong with your car so the state gets tax revenue". Between new suspension, brakes, wheels and tires and random maintenance already done I wonder what they will pull out of their.....

Then to emissions. Followed by cam and long tubes maybe a set of 243s.

Took that cheapy looking plastic grill off. Over the years it scuffed the paint in that area and it left some butt ugly holes in its place but it looks much better IMO. I plan on getting the paint restored anyway, so I'll have the holes filled and painted over, and I'm going to get the chrome lettering for after. They should have come stock like this.

I can swap plugs in under half an hour now that I have my ac taken out. I can get #8 pretty easy once I take the rear coil off.

Hopefully my buddy will let me use his lift. Might drop the cat back, gut the cats, and weld in a new muffler.

This is what happens when you buy non arp studs! Broke under 65 foot pounds! All threads in the block and about 4inch deep in there. Luckily we were able to get it out without hurting the block. I told my buddy to buy arps that would have saved 3 hrs of work

Haha...yeah. If I had the money to throw at the car right now, it'd have LT's and ORY. Budgeting everything so I can do H/C/I/E this summer all at once so I don't have to keep putting it on and taking it off of the lift. Do it all in one go over the weekend.

I was checking fuel trims today. This is at idel fully warmed up and dove it about 3 miles. -16% on one of the LT fuel trims. Weird. I'm not sure.

Don't you just love it

Anywho....not really on the Camaro, but for the Camaro. Added a 3000# Superwinch w/ remote to my car trailer

Replaced BCM. New one works flawlessly. I didn't even scratch a knuckle or start my usual ls1 cussing spree. Everything went a little too perfect, I'm worried.

BCM is Body Control Module. It controls the interior lights, radio, windows, other interior electronics, and most importantly, the VATS security system. If you want to know more just search for VATS threads here. It's a widespread problem, I imagine it's going to continue to be an issue as these cars near 20 years old.

I blame lead-free solder that the hippies make car manufacturers use these days. It cracks and circuits fail. This is the second onboard computer I've had to replace this year. Just waiting for the PCM to go out. I'm ready.

Finally got a real decent weather weekend. Went for a good hour drive. Some highway,, some city, and a few hard pulls. Good to go. Was reminded how much I love the ole girl, when I was cruising along, some ricer kid in front of me doing 50 on the highway, so I dropped down and hammered it, I cud hear his rice kick in as to not let me pass, and in no time his headlights dissapeared behind me, and I was doing 140 lol. God bless the V8.
