Well all I did today was open the drivers door and reach in to grab the paperwork for the MD state inspection I failed a couple weeks ago right after I bought the car. Since then, I have replaced both front rotors, windshield wipers, a side corner light bulb, left side outer tie rod, made a bracket to hold my battery down, and I will have to remove the tint so it'll pass. That part really sucks bad, just to turn around and go get it tinted again!!! I have washed it twice also haha.

Interested in these checks, not to side track my own thread, but share your sate and inspections required. Ohio has none in my area. Never have since I been driving. 20/years now.

MD does suck in some aspects (lived here my entire life....so far)
Car gets inspected when you buy (before getting tagged) and never again as long as you own.
Historic cars (tagged that way) there is no inspection.
There is a rise of historic tagged cars used a DD. BUT, there are laws on the books about their use when tagged historic (like not for daily use) This is how people get around the emissions checks, as well as insurance is WAY cheaper, and the state is on to them![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
I do like the way PA and W.VA do yearly checks since I see some real POS's on the road that you would need a tetanus shot just to ride in

Not breaking any real news here but...
Installed Diablosport Tune. Tune is ok, just wanted to learn in baby steps before I step up to HP tuners. Going to datalog it next week and see if there are any tweaks I can do.
More importantly, my first decent mod. Ordered SLP LM1 Dual/Dual. The stock muffler sounds halfway decent on the outside but I need some sound inside the cabin.
More basic bolt ons to come.

Bought a 2OTL System, Used but better Z28SS Floor Mats, Radiator Cover w/ SLP Sticker on it, Extra set of SS Emblems, Set of Z28SS Key Fobs
Now all I need is the Hurst Shifter **** and Car Cover and I will have all the original parts for my car.
She is currently undergoing fluid replacement (been in storage for 4 years) and will be making the transition from PA to OH here in the next month. Pretty excited I miss the old lady.

So, I just got back from doing a couple legs on the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour. I have a few pictures of our stops in Memphis, TN and Birmingham AL. Sadly, I could only do those 2 stops, then it was back to work….. Daily Grind. Ha Ha!!
But, prior to me going, I made quite a few changes to “Davin”:
• Installed Monster Level 2 Clutch & Premium Slave Cylinder. There is a complete thread on that, along with a 201 mile review in the Manual Transmission Section.
• Installed MGW Short Throw Shifter. Took out the original Hurst Short Throw Shifter
• Installed Tick Performance SPEEDbleeder
• Installed Tick Performance Bronze Isolator Cup
• Installed Poly Transmission Mount
Then after all that was done, I decided to remove the complete AIR-System that came equipped on the 02 Camaro’s. And what a PITA!! I’m not sure what took me so long to remove it, but I’m so glad that I did. I installed block-off plates for my manifolds that I picked up from Hawks Third Generation. Awesome Customer Service, as they gave me free shipping for being Military!!
Of course that required a Tune…… So, I had a gentleman that is well known here in the Huntsville area tune my car using HP Tuners.
I was hoping to run it on the drag strip in Memphis, but the track wasn’t prepped and it was unbelievably hot! Most cars were a full half to one second off from their normal times. They also shut the track down early to attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Burnout……. 114 Cars/Trucks later, they did it!!

Enjoy the few pics......

SLP LM1 with thumb in the way
Took 3 hours to install by myself with the back end barely raised. Getting the original intermediate pipe off the Y-pipe took longer than usual but liquid wrench helps. I used a tailpipe cutter to cut at the muffler and before axle. Cut that metal like butter, excellent tool.
Sound is good. I thought it would be louder honestly. Nice being able to hear the engine now. Gain across the entire rev band. It gets up and goes now. Embarrassed a tailgating mercedes driver who tried pass me after the I think I'm faster so I tailgate you routine. Smackdown. Then a turbo 240 tried me and got yanked up top. Yes, this is why I love this car so much! Now time to research what the next round of mods will be.
