Just changed the trans fluid 2 days ago at ~18k mi... figured 17+ yrs on original fill. Should be changed out, so no issues occur. Always shifted smooth. Want to retain that.
Used 4qts of Castrol Domestic Multi-vehicle (ATF) Automatic Transmission Fluid, form Advance Auto:
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...hTerm=castrol+
Drove around town, felt worse than before... notchy and catchy in between gears.
Today, ACDelco Manual Transmission Fluid 888618008 from Summit showed up at my door. Switched that Castrol out for this:

Wanted this initially but Tremec's site just says any general DEX III. That's not the case. That Castrol felt awful.
CONFIRMED:
ACDelco Manual Transmission Fluid 888618008 is smoother than the original fill i drained out on 2 days ago and way better than the Castrol DexIII that I drained out today.
Disengaging the existing gear and engaging the next is smooth and cushioned. Shouldn't of doubted myself from the get-go and just bought the AcDelco to begin with.

Removed DBW throttle body and half of the harness. Then changed out spark plugs on one bank. Tomorrow I'll order new plug wires because one end pulled out. I'm going to try the MSD's even though I've never liked there wires for other motors.
BMR watts link parts showed up, but I can't work on that right away.

Great, now I have to decide to keep going or spend twice as much for these. If the MSD work it will be the right choice, but if not I've wasted more money. Thanks for add more uncertainty, I'm already uncertain. Anyone else have any input?
J/K around with it as much as I can.
If you have ever put the ends on a set of custom length wires you know that they construct wires with a mesh layer toward the center. They really need to add a thicker layer like that further out, so the ends crimp onto something more than just silicone to hold. How long have they been making wires with this same design now?

Yeah, that happens on bad ones also. I hate having to use pliers to pull the end off the plug and then put it back on the wire just so it will run again. Makes running nitrous a giant PIA. My last truck I carried and extra set of wires, so I could change plugs and then later warranty out the set that was on it.
