1997 30th anniversary rebuild.
So, I wasn't even in the market for a car but I stumbled across a 97' 30th anniversary SS 6 speed for sale with a blown motor, miles were good, paper work was good proving it was a real SLP SS and price was good so I bought it. It is a salvage title due to theft but the car is very clean still and CarFax shows no accidents or structural damage so I'm okay with it. The car had a lot of nice things on it already such as, Spohn rear LCAs, panhard bar, and bolt in subframe connectors and a 3"
QTP cutout. When I pulled the motor I found 7 spun rod bearings and 3 spun mains. Which was very surprising as the knock didn't sound too bad loading it onto the trailer. But oh well, it needed a motor anyway. So I got another standard motor to start with and did a full rebuild basically with a CC306 cam and soon to be longtubes. I haven't quite finished it yet but I have the longblock assembled and everything else to finish it. Just need time to assemble, lol. But enough babbling on, I'll add some pictures for you all to see.

I'd like to be around 360-370whp. I think is doable as that's right in the ballpark for a CC306 cam only set up. Hopefully in the next day or two the motor goes back in!
