Default 1998 Z28 with broken driver side power door lock switch

I'm not sure what to do as GM has discontinued it. The few sites I've looked on I either couldn't find anything about it or the one site had the passenger side only.

I'm considering looking for a cheap car with a good interior and warn or blown motor as I need a lot of interior or could use all of it if it's in good shape since this one is pretty beat up. It would just needs to have power everything and be a 6 speed. Also, not be an 02 so I don't have to worry about it saying 35th Anniversary on the dash. The other part is this one has junk aftermarket head and tail lights on it when I bought it. I should have got a better car to start with, but it was hard to find a hard top car around here.

I seem to recall this switch being used on other common GM models in the same era (Blazer perhaps?), so you might be able to find used ones from other cars.

Glad I stashed some spare switches like this years ago. It's frustrating when parts you need get discontinued.

If you're looking for a parts car to harvest various interior panels/components, you'll need another '97-'99 model to match the interior color. In 2000, they dropped 'Dark Gray' and replaced it with 'Ebony', so the color won't match unless you swap the entire interior.

They do still sell the switches for 94-97. But they have sharper edges. Maybe you can just swap your old button to the new switch?
