We don't ban threads but we could certainly close this one... but lets see if we can stop name calling and answer the OP's question, because it is a fair one.

We all made miscues when we started posting on these forums, so I think we can five the OP a pass and let it go.

BTW - Nothing goes better with some old fashioned Saturday morning cocksucking than some great technical discussion...

This just isn't going to work if you are spraying a large area. Nothing in a can will match a modern, professional paint booth finish (with a proper clear coat). These things are fine for hiding scratches or small spots until you can get in to see a body shop.

It's not like it was in the '70's and 80's. My understanding is that when auto paints were reformulated to stop ruining the ozone and killing Bambi and also went to the modern clear coat process, the rattle can touch-up became much less practical.

That being said, there are some people out there who can pull this off, but they are truely artists and are likely just as skilled with other Art forms/tools as they are with rattle cans.
