Default Dakota digital sgi-5 questions.

Ok so I'm building a 2000 Camaro SS. One thing I'm doing is paddle shifters. To get that I'm using TCI's EZ TCU. I know the TCU does not share the VSS signal. Someone on here pointed me into the direction of Dakota digital SGI-5. I'm looking at my diagrams and it seems there is a VSS high and low that the computer needs. Then it comes back out of the computer at 4000 ppm. But the TCU box also sends a signal at 4000ppm. Could I just use tci signal. Or does the pcm absolutely have to have a VSS. Also how do you with up the Dakota digital unit? Any info would be great!
