ASR/Traction Control
So I went ahead and swapped the dash on my 96 z28 to one from a 2002. Got everything wired up and functional, except for the ASR button. I cannot find a pinout anywhere, and on top of that the 96 has a three wire connector and the newer style switch has 5 wires. I can find a brand new pigtail, but all wires are white so it doesn't help unless I know the pinout. Anybody able to help me out with a pinout diagram? Possibly one from a 96 and one from 97+ so that I can compare and wire up everything correctly?

I couldn't find a connector pin diagram for a 1996 Camaro TCS switch, but the wiring diagram gives the pin numbers and wire colors for the original TCS system to trace their function. The 2000 diagram is the same as the 2002 except for the circuit number of the ignition voltage. Hope this will help you.

I was actually able to figure it out last night. I found service manuals and came up with my own diagram.
Pin A from 96 Gray wire goes to PIN C 2000 Gray Wire (Dimmer Circuit)
Pin B from 96 BLK/WHT goes to PIN F 2000 BLK/WHT (Ground)
Pin C from 96 BRN/WHT goes to PIN E 2000 BRN/WHT (TCS Enable)
PIN B on 2000 BRN goes to a switched ignition fused 12V (May be needed to energize relay in switch? Haven't tested this yet.)
PIN A on 2000 PPL/WHT goes the traction control light in the cluster.(i dont think it is needed, think this was LS1 PCMs and I have a 96 LT1)
The plan was to wire up the three wires I know for sure are correct and see if it works as intended. The traction control light is controlled differently in the 96 vs 98+ so that PIN A wire is not necessary, just need to see if the switch works without switched ignition on PIN B to see if I need to run a fused input for it. If all works as intended I will come up with a diagram with pics and post it.
