Shark Gray 2000 SS build
#482
Hey man. Just wanted to say hi, love the build and wanted to catch in on the thread. I caught your videos on YouTube a while back and have been following. I also run an ls3 427 stroker. In a first gen though. T56 with 3.90s gears on a 28x10.50. Iv been the best of 10.72 at 131.5 with a 1.65 60 ft at 3300lb. Just installed a new cam and bumped the compression up a little over the winter and havnt been back to the track yet. It's nice to see someone else running the big stroke. I'll tell ya it was hard finding info on the Internet during my build with the 4.1 stroker. I freaking love mine man. Anyway keep up the good and hard work! Your vids are great dude. I'm always looking forward to them.

with the msd that's been ported and shortened the runners I run 100 kpa to the 102 depending on weather. Sniper is on now but I'm having a computer issue with number 7 injector. I have a holley terminator x and a new cam to install when time permits.

Nice! I'd say 1-2 kpa is minimal considering I am running a 92mm TB with a FTP 98mm lid. I'm impressed with the Modified LS3 manifold to say the least.

Was able to test out the new tires this last weekend and made four passes.
The first two passes I had the tires at 18 psi, launching at 4600, front shocks were full stiff. low 1.8s 60'
The last two passes I dropped the tires to 15 psi, launched at 5600 and softened the shocks to the #4 setting. high 1.6s 60'
The last pass, I started hearing lifter tap so I shut it down for the day. After it cooled off the lifter tap stopped. Thinking I may need baffles in the oil pan and new lifters.
Also thinking about a line lock setup, I was doing 2nd gear rolling burnouts.
Got a new PB ET of 10.82 and a new PB mph of 132.4. All in all, I am happy and plan to get deeper into the 10s next time out. I'll be working on another youtube vid with the runs.

Finally was able to pick up my hood from the paint shop. He did a great job, same place that painted the car still had paint left. It matches perfectly, don't mind the dust.

I appreciate it! I've been working on getting it to launch better at the track and on the street adjusting for less anti-squat on the bias tires. I actually got it to launch pretty good yesterday but the tree had errored and I didn't get a time slip for that pass.

Went on a back roads cruise, cars handling suffered through high speed curves with the soft front springs and no sway bars but still had fun.
Buddy's D1sc/ls1/TH350 fbody, super clean 99'.
Another friends 402ci/build 4L60 98', very clean car as well.
