The Sail panel shipped and is scheduled to arrive Nov 7.
front shocks set at 15 clicks compression/rebound.
rear shocks set at 18 comp/rebound
Rear springs don’t feel right, the springs are full loose so big bumps cause the spring to leave it’s perch when the rear goes up, then binds when it comes back down. 175lbs springs appear to be to much.
I wonder if I lay dynamat down and relocate the battery to the rear if it will help. Otherwise it’s time to call Sam strano and get some springs for theses at afcos.
Got everything removed;
Put down some pads to kneel on
prepped surfaces with neutral PH detergent and all solv.
layed down the mat after heating it with a propane heater
have 5 sheets left out of 18. I’ll have to finish up next weekend
Also: Ordered Dynapad
Ordered Cerwin Vega subs to replace Skar units

New sub fits! Sounds better than the skar unit and can take all the power from the monsoon amp.
Got some dynapad installed… Found one box doesn’t go very far so ordered more. Don’t want to make it heavy though.
Did a oil change with Amsoil 5w-30 and Royal Purple filter
Replaced K&N mini filters
Ordered second sub
Ordered Cerwin Vega 6.5” front component speakers
Ordered Cerwin Vega .75” tweeters
Ordered Cerwin Vega 4” coaxial speakers
Ordered Rockford Fosgate punch series 4” full range
Update*
Dynapad and speakers arrived
front speakers were blown. No rubber surround left.

Ordered CDT 6.5” component speakers with tweeter, going to Frankenstein the Cerwin Vegas into the CDTs to avoid a custom mount. Might be interesting or boring.
Removed the sail panel. I tried the heat and pry method but whoever thought of that is punished. After doing 30 minutes I abandoned that method and came up with my own.
I used a dremel to cut it up into pieces with a vacuum in my left hand. To control the dust, worked mint. Had it off in 2 hours.
test fit. Still need to shave down the epoxy and install it but damn will it look good.
Also painted behind the subwoofers and installed ultra lightweight 2” thick foam. I’m using the foam to reduce enclosure volume.
Finished installing the Dynapad and Stopped at 13 sheets of dynamat; Added roughly 65lbs.
Cerwin Vega subs pound since completing the sound deadening work.
Now, with only the subs plugged in, I tested the hatch speakers:
Cerwin Vega coaxial speakers are to rich. I now understand why they didn’t put coaxial speakers back there from the factory.
Rockford Fosgate prime full range speakers are an improvement but can’t take all the power.
So Ordered CDT 4” full range speakers. We’ll see if they are better. If not I’ll have to spend more.
CDT 6.5” components speakers arriving Tuesday so more testing to come.
Cleaned all the interior one part at a time using a commercial grade non-caustic heavy duty cleaner. Then hit each part with solvent. Then Ceramic coated every part with ceramic coat that is unavailable to the public so I won’t name it cause u can’t buy it. Also ceramic coated all the leather. Interior looks better the new.
After that I rewired the electric cutout; eliminated 25’ of wire as well as 10 soldered connections that were useless. I used all new wire that is properly color coded. Routed all the wires for an ultra clean stock as possible look. Ya can’t see them even if u tried.
Edit: also finished stereo install.
**** ton of time later the interior is done!
Transmission cooler next.
