My 92 Z28 that I've had for 7+ years. I hoping to have it painted this Spring then it's back to tuning and a few more bolt ons to try and get better than it's 13.521 best ET with the stock engine, 2k stall and bolt ons.

These might look familiar to you guys...

This too if you have an eye for SLP products...

When it gets repainted it'll stay the same color mostly because it has grown on me and partly because the same color will be cheaper. Those are full functioning 99 leather TA seats front and rear a common swap for 3rdgenners plus an LS1 SLP Loud Mouth.

It's nice to see we have some 3rdgens here and some appreciation for them. If all goes well I'd like to add an LS1 car and keep the 92 Z28 some time in the near future.

Hey 25thAnniv, I noticed from your web page that you have SLP headers... did you have any trouble installing them? I'm looking to do a header back upgrade on my Z and I'm looking for ideas.

Great color by the way!!

The SLP headers fit great. And you get pretty good ground clearance , too. I installed a set on a friend's '92 Z a couple of years ago.

No cutting required? Will they bolt up in the stock cat location? I guess what I really want to know is when I drop the stock exhaust I want to replace the headers, cat, and the rest of the exhaust and I would like to use a kit, something like the Dynomax AT... will all this match up together or will I have to get creative?

Default I love my Thirdgens

First is my 1988 Trans Am, daily driver, 305 TPI 5 speed, 14.88 at 94 mph, basically stock w/ 2.2 60 fts.

Second is my 1990 Firebird

Third is my 1984 Trans Am

Forth is my 1991 GTA, turbo setup. Both this pic and the pic of the 1990 where taken in Florida, 2 years apart, and I live in Washington State

Not pictured are: 1989 Firebird V-6 which I just bought 2 weeks ago.

EDIT: didn't look what section this was in, just got all excited when I read THIRDGEN! Oh well.

Thanks!! It was winter time when I had the cash for headers a few years back with no garage just on street parking so I didn't tackle the headers myself. SLP installed them and even they had to dent one of the primaries on the driver's side to make it not touch the steering shaft. That's a common problem but not everyone runs into it.

I didn't have a problem with the steering shaft clearance but it was close. As for the it fitting up to the stock cats , it looked like it should. We replaced the stock cat and went with an aftermarket cat-back but everything fit well. Being that it is application specific , I'd say you're in good shape. As for the gent posting pics of the Firebirds,I'm personal friends with the mod in this forum and he's a thirdgen nutcase so it's all good, Hollywood.

Here is my '86 Iroc....it's black now but was originally blue. Some retard painted it black right over top of the blue before I bought it. Hoping to have it painted by summer. I have had it for 5 years now....it's a slow work in progress type of deal.

I had a black '88 5.7 IROC once upon a time , traded it in on an '87 'Vette. My butt dyno said the IROC had more power than the 'Vette. I know that wasn't the case but it sure felt like it.

I have a beautiful 88 IROC but I wrecked it this winter. It's going to take a lot of work and $$$ to get it fixed but in the end it should look even better than it did with fresh paint and so on.

While I'm here, does anyone have any tips for getting the stock wheels to shine like new again? Mine don't look terrible, but they've got some spots and stuff on them and they could be brighter and cleaner, I'm sure.
